Greetings to you!

Welcome to my blog- Musings On Life!  Wondering, What’s my blog all about and why should you hear my story? A little introduction about me first and then we will come back to this soon 🙂

My name is Kavita Panyam and I live in Hyderabad, India, with my husband and two adorable sons. A Counselling Psychologist by profession and a Freelance Writer by passion. I hold a keen interest in Alternate Healing Modalities  like Reiki, Healing with Crystals, EFT, Acupressure to name a few. I have won competitions in various magazines for slogan writing, reviews and many blogger contests as well.  My work has been published in reputed magazines across India. These days I write for print magazines like Infinithoughts, E-Zines such as Life Positive, Women’s Web, Blogbeats, Trending post, DeVeev, Indianyouth, mytrendingstories and also feature as a guest contributor across various websites.

Coming from an Army background with an exposure to various situations, places, people etc, the writer in me emerged at a very tender age.  I have been writing ever since !

Welcome back …:).  Life is a mix of people with different personality traits leading to varying emotional experiences. This is what made me take up Psychology in the first place. Even as a child, I always found myself pondering over why people were different from one another, causing frictions in life? How could we ensure better relations amongst people? I studied to become a Counselling Psychologist, to seek these very answers. I cannot say, that I have all the answers, but I aim to impart all that I know. When I began to circulate my writings on social sites, a friend pointed out that my poems contained a message. That’s how it all started. The idea behind this blog is to touch people who are in need of support, with a hope that, they would find the push required to outgrow their dependency on negativity!  So, now you know why I chose this name for my blog!

Musings On Life features articles, Interviews, soulful poetry, real life stories, fiction, snippets based on my daily interactions and more. You could get in touch with me via my email kwrites9@gmail.com, for any writing assignments.

I hope my blog interests you enough to come back for more 🙂 Join me in my quest to make that difference!

Love and Light

Kavita 🙂

    1. Thank you Brother Dave, for your kind words. All the poems and articles on my blog are my original compositions. I love to pen poetry. The photos are from the Internet. What made you ask these questions? Thank you for your blessings. Hope to see you more often on my blog.

      1. The reason I asked was because it appears that you just started to blog in January and in less than 2 months you have posted a plethora of poems. I am amazed at your ability to generate such an abundance of interesting and poignant poems in such a short time.

Thank you for posting. I am enjoying every post that I read.

      2. If i tell you, that i have been writing poetry since i was 8 years old and it’s my passion, you would have to believe me. I write upto 5 poems a day, ready to be put up the next morning. I have been writing on Facebook all these years and then thought of blogging last month. And my name is kavita, which means poem in Hindi language.

Thank you, for your encouraging words! Means a lot to me. 🙂

  4. Stumbled upon ‘Complimenting Complements’ in the Life Positive magazine written by you. Love the way you explained giving apt examples. A pleasure to uplift mood with your blog. BTW…I too have a home in HYD. See you somewhere, sometime, or blog time:)
Check out my travel blog, if you wish. A new learning curve for me.

  5. Alternative approach to health seems to be the best way forward to avoid toxic allopathy. More and more folk are now resorting to and believing in the subtle power of natural healing and wellness methods.
    Cheers 🙂
