Was it Love?

Love is eternally elegant, or so I thought
With the bond intact after battles fought
Did you ever hold this feeling
That without me, you would be nothing

You moved on before I blinked my eyes
Breaking all the collected ties
This is your gift of broken trust
Love this was not, but lust

Eternal love lasts despite
Greenery fading in broad daylight
Dusk carries the message of hope
When dawn swings in with a better scope

Till death do us apart is not just a line
To be sung when things are fine
This bond is for life
Come peace or strife
