Woman, Thy Name Is Strength

Her birth decided by fate
Destined for a life of hate
For no fault of hers, innocent
Chained in societal imprisonment

Abuse starting within family
From kith and kin, immense agony
A hope remains somewhere
Of a future under spouses care

There, a new saga begins
Amidst vicious settings
Hurts and heartbreaks galore
Wilted and broken, to the core

Looks for a way out, crushed and dejected
Submerged for a while, but not defeated
Rise she will, some day soon
To her life, a genuine boon

A brand new day shall dawn
Wherein, a new role she will don
Rising and fighting for her rights
Propelling her to greater heights

Woman thy name is strength
Stretching to mammoth lengths
The backbone of many
The most valuable companion, in life’s arduous journey
