Valentine Musings

Valentine’s day is about age
She does the dishes
While he cleans out the garbage
Together, they revel in unspoken wishes

No parties, dance and shimmery wine
It’s enough, if together they dine
Revelry is different at each age
Feelings, which only they can guage

A simple home cooked meal
Together they cook and feel
The love, in each morsel they eat
Served with love, the best treat

No expensive gifts, surprises planned
They remember, the bigger hand
The one, that keeps couples together
When they spend time, with one another

Be it, their garden or living room
Reading the paper or cooking soup
Love is, being there unconditionally
For each other, lovingly
