The Lost Love

If it were really mine
Would it have faded
With obvious signs
Leaving me jaded

After a while hurt doesn’t pain
Propels the outcome
Leaving one sane
Making the end less cumbersome

There is more to an end
A new life waiting to embrace you
When you walk across the bend
And claim what’s rightfully true

  1. This is beautiful and filled very insight, I’ve been thinking about hurt and pain lately; and it really doesn’t last forever. That line, “after awhile hurt doesn’t pain” really got me. And, “there is more to an end” even in rot or decay; New life is forming. Wonderful post Kavita!
