Permanence Of Impermanence

The leaves fall from a tree
Setting themselves free
Do not hold onto a moment
Simply let go, after being present

The impermanence of life
Is not a disguise
It’s a fact, very clear
There should be no reason to fear

For a life, well lived
Is one without regrets
Where experiences are felt and later, trimmed
It is best when one forgives and forgets

What is the use of hanging on
For that one last song
If the melody isn’t right
At the end of the tunnel, there is no light
